Paste extrusion is global

I just had my mind blown tonight by what two groups are doing. The first is an italian group, formed in part by Massimo Moretti, called World’s Advanced Saving Project (WASP). They have released an XYZ cartesian machine called the PowerWASP EVO that does milling, 3D printing, paste extrusion. They have also built several different scales of delta-style clay, cob, and mud extruding printers.

The second group is project silkworm, a very elegant presentation of paste extrusion and  unique CAM software specific for artistic or “materials design”

The necessity of a Fablab/Makerspace/Hackerspace to exist in SE Portland, OR is increasing.
